Leecil was a fiddler and competed in old fiddlers contests. He had
one room where he kept all of his violins. The walls were completely covered
with blue ribbons and trophies from contests. He was honored at the Fiddlers
Hall of Fame which is located in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico in 1985.
L. H. was also a master wood craftsman and made most of his own violins
of the finest quality.
